The last one.

If this was a real company I would have done Facebook and Blogger. I might have done Twitter once in awhile. For many companies Facebook and maybe a few other social media. When I started this class, I knew next to nothing about social media. I didn't feel there is a need for me to use it and I still don't like social media. I can see how it can be use for making connection to other people. This is useful for many companies to let people know about who they are and what they do.

I see that writing a blog is a good way to let people know about things that the company have, or a new product that is out. Facebook is what I consider the best way to reach a lot of people and let them know about the company. Twitter is not that bad, but you can say very little about what is happening at that time. YouTube is a great way to make a cheap commercial for you company. Photo sharing, I don't see much benefits doing this. Vine, there is not enough time for anything. Podcast, since I am hearing impaired I would have hard time understanding what is being said. Ping, I couldn't understand what purpose does this serve.

Thanksgiving week

Well this week we will be getting ready for Thanksgiving. We will be closed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I know some you will want to do some after Thanksgiving shopping, but we will not any staff on hand for the daycare. Here are some of the things we did last week.

Decorating the door.

There has been a rapid change of weather. First it started to rain all day, then it got windy and rain, then a bit of snow falling. We thought it would snow more than a few flakes. Now it has gotten cold enough for winter coat. It should be noted that your kids will now have to wear boots and snow pants in order to keep your kids warm. Hats and mittens should be worn as well. Don't forget to pack your kids shoes as well.

After Thanksgiving, we will start making paper snow flakes. It is really fun and easy to do at home. We will be starting to do holiday stuff as well. We will be doing songs and do a holiday concert for you to enjoy.

A new app for your smart phone.

This week I have created an app for you to place on your smart phone. It look like this.

With this app you have two options depending on what need. The first option is for those who have daycare with us. You click on daycare and  can tell us when you are dropping off your kids and when you are going to pick them up. Also you can sign up for our service by just using this app. Preschool setting allow you to see some pictures and see how your kids are doing in school.

I created this app to make it easier for you to let us know when you are picking up or dropping off on the go without calling us. And you could see how your preschooler is doing while you are at work. This app is free of charge. So download today.

How we teach children

During a critical time when a child is at the age of 3-5 years of age, the child's brain is growing very rapidly. We at Rusch Kids Center try to take advantage of this time. We use a combination of visual, auditory, and tactical learning.

Part of the visual learning process we show them pictures in books. Show them letters and numbers. We show them different shapes and colors. Part of the auditory learning, we do tell them stories, and sing songs. Tactical learning is using the sense of touch. The kids are allow to touch and feel different things. This include things like smell and taste.

We let them know how to behave in the class room area. How to used their emotions appropriately. Such as anger, sadness, disappointment, happiness, and many other emotions. How to treat other like they like to be treated.  We like to make learning fun and entertaining.

Breast Cancer Awareness

At this time I would like talk about Breast Cancer Awareness. While I have no experience with breast cancer in my family, I know that there are many families that have. If you are over the age of 40, please get yourself  check out by getting a mammogram at a local clinic. As you are aware, early detection is the key.

Read a story to your child.

This week we would like to have you read a story form a book. We will be talking about a story they like. In class we will read, "Where The Wild Things Are".

By reading a story from a book you are engaging more on your child's imagination and learning. Children love to read even if it pretend. Halloween is coming up and I recommends a good story on Halloween.

This week we will be going to a pumpkin patch and we will be painting the pumpkins. The cost is $5. If you are unable to at this time, don't worry, your child will still get a pumpkin. Just pay when you can.

Have a good week, Kevin

What we did this week

For the preK class we worked on basic colors. All of the students knew their color very well. Also we worked on the basic shapes such as circle, squares, rectangle, and triangle. Next week we will work on numbers 1-10. All of our students like their teacher and they enjoy their time outside. I have ask all of our students to bring leaves to school for our art project next week.

Our daycare is doing well. Please make sure that you bring your extra diapers, and wipes for those who needs them. We do not have those on stock at this time. Make sure you have extra clothes in case your child need to change clothes.
