How we teach children

During a critical time when a child is at the age of 3-5 years of age, the child's brain is growing very rapidly. We at Rusch Kids Center try to take advantage of this time. We use a combination of visual, auditory, and tactical learning.

Part of the visual learning process we show them pictures in books. Show them letters and numbers. We show them different shapes and colors. Part of the auditory learning, we do tell them stories, and sing songs. Tactical learning is using the sense of touch. The kids are allow to touch and feel different things. This include things like smell and taste.

We let them know how to behave in the class room area. How to used their emotions appropriately. Such as anger, sadness, disappointment, happiness, and many other emotions. How to treat other like they like to be treated.  We like to make learning fun and entertaining.

Breast Cancer Awareness

At this time I would like talk about Breast Cancer Awareness. While I have no experience with breast cancer in my family, I know that there are many families that have. If you are over the age of 40, please get yourself  check out by getting a mammogram at a local clinic. As you are aware, early detection is the key.

This week we would like to have you read a story form a book. We will be talking about a story they like. In class we will read, "Where The Wild Things Are".

By reading a story from a book you are engaging more on your child's imagination and learning. Children love to read even if it pretend. Halloween is coming up and I recommends a good story on Halloween.

This week we will be going to a pumpkin patch and we will be painting the pumpkins. The cost is $5. If you are unable to at this time, don't worry, your child will still get a pumpkin. Just pay when you can.

Have a good week, Kevin
